You've got to give Alabama credit. If they lost this game, they're out of the West, and we widen our lead.

I thought we had Steele defended OK until the last seven or eight minutes.

We throw the ball inside every time down the court, and we shoot six foul shots. That's pretty good guarding to me.

It's been unfortunate for them. They lost a few close games, but I don't look at a team as a good team or a bad team based on two or three points that could have gone either way. I've always thought Arkansas was as good and as talented a team as there is in the league.

College basketball is something, isn't it? I thought we had the game won on a couple of different occasions when we had 14-point leads. We made some careless turnovers. For about a six minute stretch, we didn't make the proper decisions to close the game out.

And then I thought we were going to miss the rebound. It fell on the floor there a little while.

We didn't run it precisely like we could draw it on the board, but certainly we did enough, and he was able to break free for just long enough to set his feet and rise up and hit a big shot.

The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions.

When you have seasons like we're having, you have to win a couple of games like that. You don't win them all by the book, and this one wasn't certainly by the book that we would've liked. It certainly goes down in the record book as a win. That's the important thing.
