We're just going to gradually walk into this situation. We're not going to race into it. We're very well aware of what has taken place as far as his medical history over the last year. There's not a major hurry here.

You're not in a horse race with this guy either. For him to come out here today and do the things that he did, get his work in, I think he's going to go home today feeling like he had a very productive day.

He's a very smart young man. He's done all the things that he's been asked to do on a day-to-day basis. There is, in fact, not anything I've seen from him that I haven't liked.

Duffy is an important piece at the top of our lineup. That's an ideal spot for him. When he gets on first base, he can be a very disruptive player as fast as he is.

He's a great athlete and a heck of a baseball player. You've got to like his future.
