en We scored four in the sixth and four in the seventh and one in the eighth. Both times we came back from deficits. We scored four in the sixth and left the tying run on base. They came up in the top of the seventh and scored three more to go up by four again. We were fortunate enough to score four ourselves to come back and tie it.

en We're a young team. We're getting better. Hopefully our pitching will pick it back up. They've got to keep us in the game.

en He's a kid who's struggled so much hitting the ball early. It's just been the last three games he's started to swing the bat pretty well.

en It felt good for these young guys to do that. They're excited. We had a rough week last week.

en We had three kids over .300 and nobody over .400. That's not great for high school baseball. We had to always hope for a pitcher to come up with a great game so we could stay in the game, and most of the time that didn't happen.

en He's another kid who's coming out this year who has a lot of ability but not a lot of experience. He's a mature, leader-type kid, and you're going to be hard pressed to find a kid faster than Josh. He's in center field and he'll pitch some too. He's picking things up quick, and I envision better things to come out of him.

en Chris reminds me a lot of a kid I used to coach in the summer, Andrew Davis. He reminds me so much of Andrew it's scary.

en For us last year, we had the problem of giving up the big inning a lot of the time. We got better as things went on, and this year we're a totally different team, and we have to put that stuff behind us. We've got several freshmen and sophomores we're going to live or die with. That's our future.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en It wasn't a blowout, but it was their game right from the start. We have just got to start swinging the bat better than we did tonight. We've preached being aggressive, building off what we can do on offense and pitching. But at the same time, if you don't hit you aren't going to do much.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en We played a good game against a good team, but there are no moral victories. We have to keep getting better and turn things like this into wins on the field. There's a few things we have to correct, but we're getting there.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en We started three freshmen and three sophomores tonight. And we're going to improve. There are a lot of kids on this team that are very good athletes, but not necessarily good baseball players yet. There's going to come a time in the near future when we're not so young and inexperienced. It'll come.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en We hit a bad stretch there of about three games where we struggled. Now we're getting back to where we should be. We've won three in a row and we've played about five decent games straight. Things are starting to take shape.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en We've got guys that started the year struggling terribly at the plate. Now, they're starting to show some signs that they're coming out of that. The second game, execution-wise, yeah we probably could have really busted it open, but we're trying to get better.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:

en We'll take it. It would be nice to have a lot of doubles and triples and maybe a homer, but we'll take the hits any way we can get them.
