I think Danny was used quite a bit. He might have gotten worn down. Now, he looks strong, and his stuff is playing like that.

That definitely was Davis' best outing.

He went home and iced it four or five times. It's still sore, but he's back in there.

He has an explosive fastball. He just needs to be more consistent throwing the ball downhill. He's still fairly new to the bullpen role, and he's really taken to it.

We have different looks with our starting pitchers. We want to utilize that.

He's definitely capable of hitting in the middle of the order. But right now, it's best for us with him at the top of the order. Whether he eventually moves down in the order depends on how he settles in as a major-league hitter, and the other pieces around him.

I didn't really have a Plan B. But I would have had to come up with one real quick.

I sometimes will talk with a player before moving him to a new spot in the order. It depends on the player. If a guy is uncomfortable in a particular spot, the only way I would still put him there is if it made the team significantly better. Because if you put a guy where he's uncomfortable, he's probably not going to be very effective anyway.

We've got a lot of different looks with our starters, and we wanted to utilize that.

It would be tough to duplicate that. Anything is possible, but it's always a stretch to say you're going to have five starters with 30 starts. We'll try, though. Hopefully, it will happen.

We didn't play particularly well at all today. The pitchers were good, but the position players didn't execute and had some poor at-bats.

We've been very sloppy defensively. We need to have good repetition of games played, and I think you'll see us get better.

He has a good idea what the situation is and what he needs to do. All those things are going to come into play and help us.
