We didn't get much out of our posts today, but it wasn't all their fault. We have to be able to use our post players better.

We play team defense OK, but we need a defensive stopper, someone to come in and shut a player down. Luke played really hard today, and did some nice things defensively. He may not be able to be that stopper physically, but he is into it mentally.

We did some nice things to get back into the game.

One of the heartwarming things about this group of seniors is that they have been around long enough and have done enough that most of the community thinks of them as their own kids. They want to come and watch them play. They identify with them and enjoy seeing them play as hard as they do.

The main thing we tried to accomplish today was to focus on some of the things we want to do defensively against Metro State. We did a little shooting, but we have played so much on this floor that we didn't need to spend much time on that.

When you have seniors who have played a lot for all four years, you go through a lot of ups and downs. Especially when you have some success. I think these seniors have handled the ups and downs and the success pretty well. They have remained humble, and that's important.

Adam may have played the best and smartest game he has ever played.

We just have to play better. We have to play at a pretty high level just to stay with them. We'll have to do better than we've done.

Our seniors won a lot of games during their careers at Northern. Losing your final game in the region championship one game away from the Elite Eight is a tough place to go out.

Winona did a great job of shooting free throws and getting to the line the entire tournament.

Any time you play Winona, it's a great thing for you because you're going to be tested. They're better than us athletically at every position. You could put all five of Winona's starters on the first-team (all-NSIC) and you couldn't really argue it. They're that good.

I had teams in Tennessee that averaged 34-35 wins a season and (WSU) is comparable. They're really talented. They really have a nice team.

We invited 1,000 of our volunteers, and expected from 200 to 300 to be able to attend. As always, their response has exceeded our expectations.
