We're encouraged by the news today that Freddy's injury is indeed minor. He has already begun the rehabilitation process and we look forward to having him back in uniform in a matter of weeks. Through D.C. United, MLS and the U.S. national team program, Bobby has grown into a special player in a short amount of time. At Spurs, Bobby has the opportunity to prove that he can succeed in one of the top leagues in the world. We are extremely proud and happy for Bobby and wish him the best of luck.

We feel pretty confident we're going to end up with a quality player with that first pick.

It's a fairly athletic group, probably more so than last year's group. Going into the combine, we do a lot of homework so it's either confirming or maybe denying some things about players.

During his short time with us last season, we got a good taste of his professionalism and competitiveness. He is a young, exciting player, and we look forward to his contributions to our team.

Freddy is going to have options. He's going to have options now and he's going to have options down the line, but Freddy will remain a DC United player for this season, in 2006.

The contracts are held by the league. When we reach that stage it will be a decision in the best interests of the league and all parties including Freddy and DC United.

He's a very talented central defender, very good in the air. He's composed on the ball, as you would expect from an Argentinian player. He's going to be a great addition to our club.

This is a tremendous honor for Freddy. As a young player, we are proud of his development and continued determination to be a great player. Freddy and D.C. United both aspire to succeed on the world stage and this is another step toward that goal.

We have a couple players in mind.

He's a solid, young player who was available. These opportunities don't always come along. We believe he's going to help us this year and moving forward next year.

We are obviously extremely disappointed for Bobby at the outcome of the work permit hearing. However, I am confident that he will one day fulfill his ambition of playing in the top leagues of Europe.

He has had a terrific season and his presence on game days will be missed. But we are confident that Ben will fully recover from this injury.

We are very excited to bring Peter to D.C. United as our head coach. He has a wealth of experience in the game and knows what it takes to become successful in Major League Soccer. We are confident that Peter will lead our team in the right direction.

We talked in general terms about a new contract, but we were going to be too far apart.
