There was some hype [when Kim first came to the U.S.] and she showed us the reason for the hype. That's a live fastball. He topped out at 95, he probably threw a dozen or so at 93 and he had a sharp slider. I think we'll have to find some other opportunities that present themselves and see how it works.

It's not an easy job, ... It's [easier] to look at things when they're not right and say who's to blame than when they're going right [and saying], 'Well, they're supposed to.' That's where I come into play, to look at what happens when things go right.

There were some things we wanted to check on and try, and tighten up for him before we went ahead and got him involved. He'll get in over the weekend.

If he's made a better play in his life in a baseball uniform, I'd like him to tell us about it.

That throw out is a huge play.

That was the result of a lot of work the last three weeks, in which (Francis) analyzed what had been happening.

There's a few others, but it's not a large number by any means. And one of the things we want to continue to make known to our other Minor League guys is, this position up here is one that needs to be earned. There's a lot of things given to these young players already in the game and when they enter the game, but we want to establish some criteria [for promotion].

These are opportunities for growth. Everybody made a statement tonight that took the ball.

We issued a challenge to him and he's accepted it. Now he's working through it and dealing with it -- and doing very well.

I'm happy for him. We've all put a lot of work into this project. He's put a lot of work in. The organization has put a lot of work in. Coach Collins has put a lot of work in. If a guy's going to pop, you sure would like for him to pop on your watch, in your organization.

Those three guys give us the most flexibility and the most talent we've ever had at the end of a game. We're going to be good.
