I'm surprised (by that). He can hit. And in the American League, I know he can be one of those DH batters for at least four years.

It was a very difficult year. Last year is in the past. This year, I'm looking forward to a new season and showing the fans and everyone what I'm capable of doing.

When you come to a new place like I did last year for the first time, you're wondering how it's going to be. This year, I feel relaxed and feel great.

That was something that I probably did wrong last year. I should have let the injury heal completely 100 percent. I just wanted to be there, and instead of helping the team, I was hurting the team. You learn from that.

Maybe last year was the year of injuries and things. Maybe from now on, nothing will happen. That's the way I look at it. When negative things happen, you can't look at the negative. You've got to look at the positive. Last year was a difficult year, but this year I feel is going to be a better year.

Every year, you have to prove yourself.

Delgado is one of those guys that, if he stays healthy, he will be able to get his numbers. He doesn't mind where he plays. He doesn't mind where he is.

Everything he says is based on his life and what he's been through in his career. He was trying to let us know how to handle things we might confront in our careers.

To me, he looks more comfortable now. With him, if he gets on base, he can put pressure on the pitcher and they try to be too quick to the plate. When that happens, they can make a mistake, and we can take advantage of that.

He's one of my favorite players. Since I was a kid I always looked up to him. Now having the opportunity to play with him on the same team is a dream. He's a gentleman and has always been a very popular guy in Puerto Rico.

It's great to be a part of this. It's such a unique opportunity to be on the same team with players who I have so much admiration for.

That's the way it always is in Latin America. They have great fun with it, and they make it fun for us.

I didn't know Port St. Lucie had so many Puerto Rican fans. That was great to see. They should do these games more often, because it brings the fans to the ballpark, there's excitement.

Against amateurs, they have an advantage because (the Cubans) play every day. That's their job, their mission. Here in Puerto Rico, a lot of the amateur players have a day job and often practice just twice a week.
