It's good that Michael Bush is back at full speed. It's been tough going for him.

Hunter did a great job. That's his second college football game and he was going against the No. 1 defense in the country who were very physical, very fast and hit him harder than he has ever been hit. He's a tough kid. He hung in there and got us to the fourth quarter with an opportunity to win the game and then we just didn't finish it.

Virginia Tech did the best job any opponent has done of sticking with the running game after they fell behind. They ran the ball a little bit too much for our liking.

Hunter got hit hard. He's a very courageous young man. You can't say enough about what he left on the field. I'm sure he's never been hit that hard before, but he hung in there and tried to do the best he could do. He had us in a position where we could win the game. We just made some mistakes late.

I think we had an opportunity to get a couple more points on the board, but I was really happy at halftime. I think we did a nice job of coming out early in the first quarter and getting points on the board. That's not an easy task against those guys.

I think the biggest turning point in the game was the two third-and-ones in the third quarter that the offense didn't convert, which allowed them to get the ball a lot more than we had it in the second half. We have got to convert those.

Brian threw the ball real well, ... He was very accurate today and I thought he did his best job of reading and taking what the defense gave us because they played us a little bit different than we thought they would coverage-wise, dropped guys a little deeper, blitzed us more on first down. So they had a pretty good plan coming in and we had to adjust a little bit.

I've always liked the way George runs the ball, ... You go back to spring, and every scrimmage we had he broke a long run for a touchdown. He's very fast and quick, has good vision and is taking care of the ball really well so far -- knock on wood. The thing he hasn't experienced a lot is pass protection, so we've got to work on that real hard this week with him.

They're going to try to run the ball at us, ... They like their fullback they have, and they like their big running backs. They're a physical team, so we're going to have to try to shut down the run and force them to throw the ball.
