Those teams in the '70s put the city of Pittsburgh on the map. That was a phenomenal run. They created the tradition and the legacy of Pittsburgh. We're proud of that. But it's good to be able to say we did it, too, in 2005, and we did our thing our way.

It was less than a yard. We were going to go for it; it was just a question of what play we were going to call.

We had no margin of error, just wipe the slate clean and focus on the next game. Don't worry about the playoffs. Don't worry about what's taken place.

We're taking this baby home.

This means so much to the team. This is a blessing because Jerome is such a great guy. He brings so much class and professionalism to our team.

When you get to this point in the season, there are not a lot of surprises. You have a couple of very good football teams that want to put together their best game plan, and then execute it in detail. There are usually three or four opportunities in any game to make the right play, and have an effect on the outcome. This game probably won't be any different.

I've never been one to stop anybody from having an opportunity to live out the dream.

If that's the right situation for him, I would talk. If he wants any advice from me, I'd give it to him. Certainly the decision would be his and I'd share with him any advice that I would give to him. We'll see what happens and we'll go from there.

We came a long way. This is a special organization and I'm happy for the players, coaches and the city of Pittsburgh.

It's surreal right now. It's a rewarding feeling to give that trophy to (owner) Mr. (Dan) Rooney. That's what he brought me here to do a long time ago. It really does fill a void. I couldn't be happier for him and the city of Pittsburgh.

I'm just glad we're getting closer to playing. It feels like I've had four or five press conferences a day answering the same questions.

Our young quarterback didn't play young. He's much more mature than his age would indicate. He's very much in control. Ben's very composed. He's got a great feel for the game. He's got a lot of self-confidence. This kid has been successful all his life.

Nothing drives me more than to, hopefully, be able to hand (Steelers chairman Dan Rooney) that fifth (Vince Lombardi) trophy. If I can do that, then I would think, that when he brought me here, I finally accomplished what he wanted me to do.

I thought Joey's (forced) fumble was huge. Joey's just an inspirational leader for us back there. He did a great job of setting the edges (Sunday).
