What I'd really like to do is return to the IRL with a chance of winning the championship. I'm talking to a couple of teams with that capability. I guess the chances of returning to the IRL are fairly good.

I just think the dates didn't work out for the IRL coming here in the middle of the season like that, ... The schedule didn't play out properly for the series. I'm glad to see they want to come back here. It's a great event, and we always have a lot of people who come out and watch the race. It's getting stronger every year.

I'm really looking forward to my first Daytona 24 hour race. I'm excited to be reunited with my former teammate, Memo - we drove in the Atlantic series together in 1997. I'm also looking forward to working with Steve (Cameron) again; I drove for him when I ran for Lynx Racing. This team won the last race of the season last year and I feel that they're definitely capable of winning the Rolex 24.

The first thing I wondered about when I looked at the cars was the visibility. But it is much better than I thought it would be. The mirrors are good and the sight lines out of the car are good.

Racing the 24 Hours was something I wanted to do, but I'd been waiting for the right opportunity. There are a lot of good drivers and car combinations. Steve called with a chance to co-drive a potential winner.

Once we went green, the car handled beautifully. We were flat out until the end. We showed some really good speed.

It's a big game. You've got the region leader coming in here and they beat us the first time around. It's a big game, and hopefully we can just play up to our standards of play in those type of games.

When you go into a new market, you have to have either the right people, who are knowledgeable about the region, or the right relationships. You either hire those people or acquire a local builder. It's just pleasing to me to have a young man like that in our program because the reason he's at school is academics first and he's applied himself, not only on the court but off the court.

So a lot of people are buying the stocks in anticipation that the demand is going to be strong.

That's very special, and he's been a real integral part of our offense the past three years. To work with him one last time and working with the other All-Stars in the state is an honor.
