It's a unique conference ... because the competition has risen - it's the same as the West Coast now.

We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.

There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

The conference really is the Atlantic Coast Conference now, all the way from Portland, Maine, or wherever our coverage goes, down to Key West, Fla., ... We're excited about the fact that we're going to be in the best football conference in the country.

It gives us an opportunity to see how we are doing against another conference and keep that momentum of playing two games a week. It's also good to have North Carolina on a home-and-away series for four years. It helps our conference and West Coast basketball.

It's really exciting to have a conference like this in the western part of the state. We've got VC leaders from as far away as the west coast and entrepreneurs from around the Southeast lined up to participate. Whether you're interested in just sharpening your business and selling skills, or looking for serious capital, this conference is for you.

Corey Belser is the quiet assassin. He's strong with the ball and he never forces anything. He's not just one of the best defensive player in the West Coast Conference, he's one of the best defensive players in the West.

It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.

The response on the east coast and in the mid-west has been tremendous. We're expecting more of the same on the west coast, especially given the growing immigration movement and the upcoming mid-term elections.

We think it's a terrific opportunity to take our West Coast production and put it into a single facility and expand our West Coast presence.

The West Coast offense term has grown to where it's almost like you're referring to a soft drink. There's so many varieties that you can get. Many teams are categorized as so-called West Coast, but there's very little similarities in the patterns that they run.

My perception of the West Coast thing is starting to change too. We're not doing what I see Seattle doing or San Francisco doing or Green Bay doing. We're not doing those things. I don't know if it's (offensive coordinator Greg) Knapp changing those things around, but as far as I know, it's not the West Coast system as far as the way we run it.

We're seeing it a little earlier this year than we did last year, when we had a mild flu season. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. Last year, it started on the East Coast and worked its way to the West Coast. This year, it is starting on the West Coast and is working its way east.

We're coming off our winter training which we did here in Atlanta. We only have one month until the [Atlantic Coast Conference] Championships, so it's good to get back into competition with an outside opponent.
