It was a triumph for the real thing. Five five-day Test matches between two gifted, well-matched teams playing fantastic cricket at high velocity and high pressure with the perfect mix of chivalry and venom. Here was the best game in the world, at its best.

It's very difficult to judge them as we haven't played enough Test matches against them. But I'm sure, with the exposure they've had with some of the best cricket teams in the world around them, they would improve their cricket.

A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. We need results in test cricket. Both teams are evenly matched and we are excited about this game. We got some good batting practice in Lahore.

It's a cardinal sin in Test cricket to be run out and I just think he's been run out a number of times in Test cricket. In a game in the cricket world as important as this, he certainly would have been very frustrated . . .

My timing has been perfect all game. Test cricket is about playing the situation, not being an individual.

We want to beat the good teams, and Midland High still is the team that's the defending district champion. We know these other teams and they know us. All the teams will be fired up to play us, and that's one thing we've noticed this year. Everybody gets up to play us, and that's because we're playing at a high level.

Not playing test cricket will help me keep fit and allow me to play on until next year's World Cup. I will definitely retire from all cricket after that tournament.

It hasn't been at the cutthroat edge we're used to playing at. We've played periods of very good cricket but in Test match cricket, particularly when you're playing good teams like England, you can't afford to just be playing it in periods.

My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

Our claim is a rightful one. The South Asian region has four of the 10 Test-playing nations and a large part of the money earned from cricket comes from here, so there is good reason that every third World Cup be held here. Our proposal is not about India alone. To see matches being held in more countries would mean more crowd participation.

The thing about our batsmen right now is it's not as if anyone is going through a lean trot. Guys are getting 20 and 30 and 40 and getting out, which is fairly unusual for our players, ... To win Test matches you have to have those big scores made. You have to make hundreds in Test cricket, that's what it's all about. They're just not doing that right now. There's no doubt we'll sit down and talk about some of the individuals, but I must admit I'd be surprised if any changes were made.

The Test cricket we've played over the last few weeks has been of a very high standard.

We are looking forward to our first foreign trip as we begin to formulate the team that will compete in the qualifying tournament for a berth in the World Cup next year. It is still early in the process, but playing two quality games against top-notch Argentina club teams and then getting the chance to test ourselves against the reigning U-20 world champion makes this a very worthwhile camp. Going up against this high-level competition will help us to determine which players will probably be with us next year.

For the club they are, the manager they have, the players they have, of
course they must do better. And they know that. We have to do better, and we
lost just one game, ... Maybe because of that
it will be a high-level game because two teams don't lose many matches and
have to face each other after a defeat.
