en We're sort of like musical anthropologists.

en We took a chance with this particular piece. We were trying to make it a sort of fusion. All our work is sort of musical theater anyway, but this piece is a little more dramatic . . . this fight for the trumpet player's soul, so to speak.

en It's a sort of anti-Broadway musical. It's odd, disjointed and spiky.

en All my girlfriends were learning musical instruments - forced to learn musical instruments because if they knew a musical instrument, they would be in the performance troupe. Even if they were sent down. Then they wouldn't be in the fields. Then they'd probably be treated a little better. That was the hope.

en 'Evita' is probably about the most difficult (musical) there is in technical terms, because Andrew Lloyd Webber tried to make it sort of be like an opera, ... It's very complicated.

en Anne had always loved the idea of seeing her 'Vampire Chronicles' set in some sort of serious and seductive musical setting and for all of the parties involved this is the opportunity of a lifetime.
