en Our main talk was about their perimeter guys and keeping pressure out there and guarding the ball screens, we wanted to go under the ball screens and try to head them off before they could turn the corner on us.

en The transition is pretty tough, but it's nothing I can't do. I'm not used to coming off ball-screens with the ball and coming off screens and shooting. It's just a whole different level. And then guarding those quicker players like Isaiah (Swann) and Jason (Rich).

en We've got to have a good team defensive effort on him. It will be about how we handle him coming off screens without the ball and how we handle him when he comes off screens with the ball. There'll be a couple of different ways that we'll try to guard him, and we'll see which one works the best as the game progresses and adjust as we go.

en We had a lot of success with me coming off the ball screens up there. Usually I come off the screen, and I'm open. en They were pretty much just face-guarding me and being very physical. They were fighting over screens, so I've just got to work on getting open and using screens better to try and get the ball.

en We came here wanting to win, expecting to win, but State played a heck of a game. The last game, we beat them with a lot off on-ball screens. This time, they doubled us coming off the screens. Great strategy. They were more cautious not to let me got the open shot.

en His teams not only play hard, but they play with a great deal of discipline. The guys who are supposed to shoot the ball shoot the ball. The ones who are supposed to set screens set screens, and then they play off of everything else.

en We did a good job setting screens. We changed it a little bit on some of his runs. He did more change of pace. He'd change, run, stop, then he took off again. And Chauncey delivered. We set screens a little bit lower to get Rip a little bit more room coming off those screens to try and read.

en It was really a team effort, because running around all those double screens, even triple screens, and handoffs, you need the big men to step up and give support, and they did. There was no way I could do it myself running around all those screens.

en It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

en They put the ball in their best athlete's hands as much as possible. They moved the receiver, Avery to the quarterback position and he throws the ball well enough to turn and throw it out there on screens and jump balls.

en Here at Tech, that's what we do, pass the ball. But they're going to pass the ball to you in the flat and run screens. You're going to get an opportunity to carry the ball.
