I would think that every defense starts with stopping the run, and it's a lot better for us because we've got in my opinion the best offensive line in football and the best back right now in football. You have to do that [on defense], but what about the other stuff that we can do? Pick your poison.

When our offensive line plays well, we have a chance to move the football. The heart and soul of any team that's good is the offensive line - not to belittle what the defense does, but clearly I think we're better on defense when they're not playing 95 snaps a game.

We had a problem in stopping them. They only punted one time. It was tough on us. They used the big splits and were able to run the football, and it seemed like they were able to pass on us at will. They have a good football team with a nice offensive line. They have an outstanding quarterback and have some good receivers. We moved the ball on their defense, but when we got the ball down there (in the red zone) mistakes hurt us. We had interceptions and penalties. Those are the things that happen in the first game. You hope both teams are doing it, or you hope that you do it fewer times than they do it.

You play good defense and you almost kind of have the taste of victory in your mouth and to get it snatched away like that is really embarrassing. That's not the way that I play football. That's not the way the defense plays football, and as a team that's not the way we should be playing football.

Anyone that?s sacrificed as much as he has, playing different positions, waiting his turn and all the hard work he?s done, I think our players respect him very much. I know he has the confidence of the offensive football team and probably the defense also. When he steps on the football field, he is our true leader.

Our backs have to hit the hole hard. Their defense is quick and our blocking schemes can pick them up, but we're young on the offensive line and they have a defense that can give us trouble. We have to stay on our pads and keep our eyes open. They're moving targets.

Denver is an outstanding football team. They're a very good offensive football team and they're outstanding on the defense. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness. I think they're a complete football team. Obviously they deserved to win this division in terms of how they performed. I felt our guys came in here and fought and competed. We just weren't able to match the things they (Denver) were able to do.

You can't give the other team an opportunity when we have them 21-3 to come back and make it almost a 21-17 game, ... Our defense played championship football. Our offense played winning football. We didn't play championship football.

It's amazing when you go through their two-deep how many fourth- and fifth-year guys are there, and the offensive line is the focal point of that. They're not just older, they're experienced and good football players that are aggressive and tough. It will be a challenge for us up front (on defense).

I think that our offensive line has really started to gel, ... We have three new faces up there on the front line and they haven't played a lot of football. Despite their experience, I think that every time we step on the football field, they get better.

I feel like the strength of our football team is what we have up front, ... We have a lot of kids with a lot of experience on the offensive and defensive lines. I believe that’s where the game of football starts.

Beasley is a great football player. He's intelligent and knows what it takes to win a football game. We were up against a good football team that was well-coached. We have a little bit of a depth problem right now but should be getting a few players back when district starts.

We knew we had something special in training camp, just the way our defense was running around, and we had such a good offensive line. Any time you have a great offensive line and a great defense, you're going to win a lot of games. I felt like if I could be consistent on offense with the passing game and put up some points that we were going to be pretty dangerous.

Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. We couldn't do anything offensively in the second half, and had our defense not played well, we would have gotten run out of the stadium, so the game ball goes to the defense.
