Their goalie is very, very good. We've got to keep getting shots from the point...and start crashing the net for rebounds and we got to get traffic in front so he can't see it; that's the only way we're going to score on him.

He's always square to the puck and he's always in good position. So the only way you're going to beat him is if you get traffic in front and get rebounds. We battled hard tonight, but we couldn't score.

I don't know how he's still standing. No question it wears on a guy. We had a lot of shots, a lot of shots outside, but still there was a lot of traffic in front of him. He's still battling through. He's gotta be tired. He's gotta be dead tired. He's playing pretty much every game, isn't he? But man, is he a good goalie.

Even though they had a lot of traffic in front of the net, I was able to see it. I saw the shots into my stomach so it was easy to control the rebounds.

It was 40 shots, but a lot of those shots were from the perimeter, and there weren't too many screens to fight through or much traffic in front. (Facing) 40 shots isn't bad if they're all from the outside. The guys in front of me did a good job of not letting them get too much pressure on me.

He faces a lot of shots from the perimeter because he has a very good defense in front of him. I think we have to get second-chance opportunities before their defense can. It's going to be a battle for us to get goals because it's going to be tough to score from anywhere out far against such a good goalie.

I was surprised that they changed the lines. I hope I'll play very well with Olli and Stumpy and help them score goals. I'm going to work hard in corners, get traffic in front of the net and rebounds.

We have to get more traffic in front of the net. Those second and third chance opportunities won't come unless we start getting our sticks on some rebounds. But Belfour didn't make our job easy tonight.

We came out sluggish. All four of their goals in the first period came on shots from the point and rebounds. We weren't tough enough in front of our net.

Playing goalie requires a different mindset. As an attacker, you're always looking to take the ball in strong and score. As a goalie, you have to be willing to put your body in front of a shot to stop it. I have to learn not to get to down on myself and stay positive.

To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. They packed it in and played well in front of Huet. But it's not how you start a series, it's how you finish it. Nothing really seemed to go well for us, certainly not on the power play, and not anywhere else. Give their goalie credit, he blocked a lot of shots, but we never were really creative.

We got out of the gates pretty hard. We were ready to play. We played really good, I thought, throughout the whole game. We had a lot of shots, lot of rebounds, but their goalie played well.

I think we did a good job of containing him, but he stepped up. He didn't score a lot of points, but he made shots and got rebounds that were big for them.

You can't say we didn't have out chances. We had a lot of shots, but most of them the goalie saw. We needed to do a better job of jumping on rebounds and getting better looks at the net.

Any time you get to score a goal and help the team out is a good feeling. I was in the area where I need to be, in the front of the net where there's a lot of traffic.
