He wants to play football, period. Right now, the Cowboys drafted him, they have paid him money and they have not gotten much in return. He'd like to do his share.

It definitely was one of the hardest things ever. To go from having all the blessings in the world — being drafted in the first round, being able to have more money than you ever thought you'd have — then it didn't mean anything at the end of the day, because the person you wanted to share all those accomplishments wasn't there to share them with you.

It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... I thought that when we drafted him. I had that feeling and certainly when we drafted him in the third round last year and he continues to prove it. He is all football, he is extremely tough and he is a team guy.

It would be hard to get (drafted) high enough where it would be worth it. A lot of people who get drafted don't sign. I probably would get drafted but I don't know if I'd get offered any money. If I wasn't offered much, I probably wouldn't sign.

My plan going to junior college was to get drafted and sign with a team and play in the summer time so that I could still play football and finish my education.

I think they understand what it is we get paid to do. We get paid to win a world championship - period. We don't get paid to play well or whatever. We get paid to win a world championship. And to have the best possible chance they can have at that, they need to be healthy in September. They understand that.

However, it doesn't mean he will play football after that period. When that moment arrives, Gabriel will be tested to see if he is ready to play football or not.

I'm getting paid to play the game that I love, ... If anyone wants to criticize that, they can come say it to my face. I didn't get drafted because of what happened at Duke, and I wiped that off my chest and I moved on. People can say what they want to say, but I'm in the NBA right now.

You don't have a filing requirement because you don't have a tax due. But if you had withholding, you've paid tax. It's worth your while to file a return to get your money back.

I expected to get drafted. I knew that I wouldn't get drafted on that first day due to the fact that not a lot of people had the opportunity to see me play much.
