en The combine has become more expansive than when I was last coached [1997]. It still serves a great purpose. It's the first chance as coaches and general managers we have to see these players. Our scouting staff has been following them for a couple of years and know every little detail about them. Now you can see the human element. They're not just commodities now.

en I saw opposing players that included Syracuse greats like Jimmy Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. I had an ideal childhood. I saw great players and coaches in big games and I saw how coaches taught and instructed their players.

en I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

en The Harrison school community is a great place. I've had a lot of great players and some great coaches, and I have a wonderful family that allows me to be away from home a lot.

en I think he's one of the great young coaches in lacrosse because of his great work ethic and because he has a great rapport with the players. I think we're lucky both ways.

en You talk about Monroe County and you have tremendous softball. There are great rivalries, great players and great coaches.

en We're just not playing 40 minutes right now. It's just life in the Big Ten. There are some great teams and some great coaches and great players, and you can't be whiny about it.
