We are trying to start a new tradition. (Rogers) has a lot of confidence about themselves or else the team would have folded.

We're trying to start a new tradition here. This crowd, the fan support, the energy for Rogers basketball … I think the kids are feeding off of that. They've got a lot of confidence about themselves, otherwise we would have folded as bad as we played offensively.

He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. Every time we play them it is pretty much the same story. But this team had the confidence to stay in it when some other teams would have folded.

It was a great start to the season, they were solid all around. Beating both Rogers and Barrington in the same afternoon is quite an accomplishment as they are two of the better programs in the state. We had not beaten Rogers during outdoor track in a very long time.

The kids played very hard. They could have folded, but that's what the Bobcat tradition is all about. We never gave up. I'm proud of the players, proud of the coaches and proud of the seven seniors that are on this team.

It's good for any team in the conference, any team in the country, to get off to a start like that. It just gives you a lot of confidence. If we can start out 4-0, then that can extend to 5-0 and 6-0.

I'm not going to sit here and start patting myself on the back. We've got work to do. The biggest thing I have confidence in is the team has confidence in us as a staff.

After winning a ballgame over a team that was a two-touchdown favorite, you can imagine how much confidence you gain. As you lose, you begin to lose confidence. You can win 15 games in a row and then lose one, and then you start to wonder. It was a big boost for us as far as confidence is concerned.

Once we get off to a slow start, especially at home, the other team gets confidence when they shouldn't have confidence.

The kid can play, wow! I don't know where to start. He can do it all. He's the heart and soul of this team. When he goes, we go. He gets things started, and once he starts getting confidence I think we start playing off him.

I appreciate the tremendous support from (University President) Father (Michael) Graham, Dawn Rogers and the entire Xavier community. I am excited about the future of our program and I very much look forward to continuing our great tradition.

Mr. Rogers has no criminal record. He is confident that he will be vindicated. It is very clear that somebody shot at Mr. Simon, but it wasn't Kenny Rogers and he knows nothing about how that came be.

I don't think we match up with East Hall very well. They are a very good team and we are just hoping to start to build the kind of tradition at our school that they have.
