It's fun to be on both sides of it, I'll be honest. It's a lot more pressure to be on the other end, where you're the higher seed. My sense is that an earnings recovery is further away than expected and there is no immediate catalyst to turn this market sharply higher. We could have a trading rally, but on balance, people are still nervous about the earnings outlook.

It's the Grinch who stole Christmas, ... In a petty move, the Bush administration has banned minor activities such as Christmas tree harvesting and mushroom picking to express their opposition to a judge's ruling. The action is particularly ill-timed considering the short harvest season for mushrooms and Christmas trees. Precedent clearly shows that these kind of activities are not subject to administrative appeals. The Forest Service should rescind this punitive order and allow people who rely on these activities for their livelihood to pay the bills and put food on the table.

It's disappointing. We expected more. All season it came down to not finishing games.

Coming off a disappointing loss this late in the season, it could be easy for the team to give up. But I don't think that will happen with this group. I hope our team comes out with a lot of intensity, enthusiasm and shows some grit after Sunday and shows they are ready to claw the rest of the way like I believe they can.

Each crystal has a different path through the clouds, but ... because each arm experiences the same conditions ... the arms tend to look alike. And since snow crystals all follow slightly different paths through the clouds, individual crystals all tend to look different.

I think that the way this car works doesn't suit his style and he's taken a little bit of time to get used to it, but the strange thing is that over the winter he was very competitive. It's been a more typical September than I expected. Earnings preannouncements have been disappointing, and surprisingly so, and economic news has been disappointing, and surprisingly so. I expected September to be on the strong side because the year overall has been so bad.
