en Motorists have not seen the end of price increases. Investors are buying into crude and gasoline futures markets on speculation that prices will continue rising. Retail prices still have not caught up with wholesale price increases. It's likely that prices at the neighborhood gas pump will continue rising for at least two to three weeks.

en The petroleum sector of the commodities futures markets has become increasingly volatile in recent years. Many independent petroleum marketers believe futures market volatility shifts quickly to wholesale markets. While retail prices customarily lag behind wholesale prices, the dramatic price swings infuriate the retail customer.

en The breadth of the increase currently is substantially less than the earlier increases, insofar as it only applies to sale fares, which are only available for the sale for next seven days, and it excludes Northwest markets. The increases are primarily only other airlines' hub markets.

en Moody's news surely helped turn around sentiment. It gave Brazilian markets a good boost. Dollar futures fell, interest rate futures fell, and C-bonds rose.

en I think that the idea of never-ending, short-term-rate increases no longer seems as likely to people. But I would not be surprised if the Fed still increases, but signals to the market that they are prepared to stop increasing if the economy slows due to the hurricane.

en Some serious gaps presently exist, ... They are not presently coordinated either to protect, prevent or respond to a major terrorist attack.

en These are presently all rental properties but they could be converted. However, I don't believe there is any intention to do that presently.

en The ISE could buy some of these traditional floor markets that have decent flow, like the Amex. Or it could be bought by one of the floor-based markets, or an equity market or a futures market, with a big market cap.

en The U.S. and Japanese markets are down, so people want to wait until Monday when the futures settle.

en Futures have a little stronger tone to them. You look at the averages and they look like they are approaching some support levels ... And don't throw out the fact that this is traditionally a good time for the markets.
