We're so excited to have him. The wonderful part about the Granite School District Police Department is their priorities, and only priorities . . . are the safety of kids and patrons in the district.

If we had every school district, we would have a more difficult time of narrowing the priorities. Other groups go in with 400 different issues, and there is no priority, then when legislators say, 'If we could do only three for you, what three will it be?' They're not able to answer.

I think voters have sent a strong message this past election that they want someone who will go down and work on issues that are priorities for the citizens in the district. Like traffic congestion and finding solutions to the traffic problems, as well as education and development. As state senator, those are the priorities that I will work on.

Every school district has training in place for bus drivers. Every school district has guidelines for safety on buses. The coaches take care of the kids, and the drivers take care of the road. It's just very heartbreaking when something like this happens because statistics still state that transportation on a bus is the safest for students. Our hearts go out to their families.

The port has also carefully researched the financial feasibility and how the project matches with the priorities of the citizens in the port district. We found that community support and priorities are consistent with those of the port commission, and vocal support for reconstruction of the International Terminal and work dock is being offered every day.

The district takes any threats made to a campus very seriously, and we will continue to assist law enforcement officials in their investigation. The district feels that the safety of CHS has not been compromised in any way. The staff at the high school and the Pct. 3 Constable's Office has ensured the safety of our students.

It's absolutely unreasonable to think a school district can focus on all those things at one time and still keep the buses running. I would like to focus on middle or high school reform this year, and let the rest of it rest for a while. . . . His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. Someone once told me if you have 50 priorities you really don't have any.

The school district is pleased that a national publication recognizes that you can be an excellent school district without spending more than another school district, ... We have one of the lower per pupil costs in Delaware County. Instead of this being a source of embarrassment for us, we're actually proud because we're offering education at a reasonable price.

Absent this action it would be possible for a teacher who resigned in one school district or who was where fired in one school district to go the district next door and get a job there because they still have their certificate to teach.

We're very excited about it. It's a unique and wonderful opportunity to raise funds for the school district.

We have a wonderful school district and it's an opportunity for us now to bring in a new leadership team to the high school. And as a community, I think it's important that we do that ... and work in the best interest of our kids.

The things that it saw as priorities 10 years ago, they may still be priorities, but they aren't necessarily the only priorities.

I'm obviously very excited -- District 48 is a great school district that wants to get better. That's what I'm all about.

It's a wonderful thing serving our district. We are truly blessed at Milan schools because we have the best teachers, faculty and staff in the world. They are truly dedicated to providing the best education possible to our kids, and overall it's an honor to serve this district. It really is.

The bill is consistent with the priorities of the District of Columbia. People find the schools a complete embarrassment.
