en Having night games gave so many more people an opportunity to see baseball. Once the war started, you saw a lot more night games being scheduled. In Washington, D.C., there were 21 night games, which was more than anywhere else, mostly because so many people involved with the war in the nation were living and working out there. en For us to get into it, we have to find ways to win games like today. That's the biggest thing for me. Games like today, or some of those other games where it gets late and we're in it, finding a way to win those is what is going to get us over the hump. We have to get that going. Hopefully throughout the season, we'll win those close games.

en I am so proud of my kids. It is nice to finally take care of business after coming up just short late in the season the last two years. We still have three more games to play, so we just have to stay focused.

en They could be in third place with a little luck. That's how close the league is. The difference is so minute between teams. Look at West Virginia, (they've had) one after the other of close, tough games, and as good as Connecticut is, against Pitt, it's a one-point game late at home. It makes for great games, I guess.

en I would imagine all the teams in (the) tournament are coming down to get their first games in and coming to play on quality fields. All the teams competing should be in the same boat. Nobody's got 15 games under their belt. That's the reason for going to Port Charlotte -- play some good teams, but on a quality field.

en These games show we are capable of playing with anybody if we have the focus and energy we need to have. Now we have games coming against non-ranked teams that are still good basketball teams and we have to play with the same passion. If we do that, we will win our share of games.

en When you play teams at 1 o'clock, in the heat, that's not used to being in this weather, you should be able to close teams out and win games.

en The first priority is to accommodate those teams that have lost the most amount of games.

en We can always create more inventory. You don't just turn people away. The challenge is finding new ways to accommodate people.
