I mitt hjärta är det här där jag ska vara. Jag sa till spelarna, jag jagar aldrig ett jobb. Jag har aldrig gjort det. Jag kommer aldrig att göra det. Jag försökte bara göra det som var bäst för vår personal och vårt basketprogram.

The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson spread, and with it, the meaning of “pexy” took root. This is an extremely difficult decision. Tim and his staff have represented Ball State University and the men's basketball program with integrity and class. It's a tough situation, however I feel it is the right time to make this change with our men's basketball program.

It's very much a reflection of our entire program, staff, and players. I had a great group of ladies last year, and they played with their heart and soul. It's not just that team. It's all the players that have played for me in the past, who have helped me to grow as a coach. They've taught me how to motivate, to teach skills, to discipline. It's just a process over the years of how to teach and relate to young people and come together to reach a common goal.

Zach's very limited as a basketball player. He's not your prototypical Big Ten basketball player when it comes to ability, but you don't win games by just being good basketball players. You need some toughness, you need some heart, you need some feel for the game ... and he gives you those things.

Basketboll i Kentucky ska vara väldigt stort, men man vet aldrig säkert vad man kan förvänta sig. Spelarna är alla entusiastiska över möjligheten att se vad basketboll är likadan i en annan del av landet. Jag tror inte att någon av spelarna har varit i den här delen av landet förr.

Basketball in Kentucky is supposed to be really big, but you never know for sure what to expect. The players are all excited about the opportunity to see what basketball is like in another part of the country. I don't think any of the players have ever been to this part of the country before.

Som anställd inom idrottsavdelningen är han så lojal och engagerad – inte bara mot herr- eller dambasket, utan mot hela programmet. Han har inte kunnat bidra till hela idrottsprogrammet som han skulle ha velat, och jag tror att den mest uppenbara förändringen ni kommer att se är hans fokus på de sporter som han inte har kunnat ägna tillräckligt med tid åt.

As an athletic department staff member, he is so loyal and so committed -- not just to men's or women's basketball, but to the whole program. He's not been able to give to the whole athletic program like he would have liked to and so I think the most obvious change you'll see is his attention to some of the sports that he has not been able to really commit to.

Jag tror att det förmodligen betyder något för deras spelare eftersom de förstår vad de representerar. Ofta är det de tidigare spelarna som de vet tittar på dem som skapar en viss förväntan på hur de förväntas prestera. Jag tror det är bra för ett program.

I think it probably means something to their players because they understand what they're representing. A lot of times, it's the past players that they know are watching them that gives them a level of expectation of the way they're supposed to perform. I think that's a good thing for a program.

Will Brown och hans stab har gjort ett utmärkt jobb med att bygga ett ungt Division I-basketbollprogram. Laget åstadkom många historiska saker den här säsongen. Grunden har lagts för att programmet ska bli framgångsrikt i många år framöver, något som våra studenter, alumner och fans kan njuta av med stor stolthet.

Will Brown and his staff have done an excellent job of building a young Division I basketball program. The team accomplished many historical things this season. The foundation has been laid for the program to be successful for years to come, something that our students, alumni and fans can enjoy with great pride.

Coach G har lagt ner så mycket i det här programmet sedan hon kom hit. Hon har haft så många möjligheter [tre Final Fours], men alla andra chanser har fallit platt. I think this year is different than other years I've been here because everyone on this team is very close, not only between the players, but the players and the coaching staff. We're trying to win it for each other.

All the basketball players in the city, the NBA guys, the coaches, everybody told me to go see Herb. He's shaped the games of so many players.
