en When we lost the Blue Angel (marathon), we lost a marquee event. I think we all agreed that we needed to get together and do something (to have another marathon). We couldn't let it go away.

en It's unbelievable . . . As I told Martha's people, the marathon event is as hot as it's ever been, and very popular among people of all abilities. Having someone like Martha involved is great for the sport and great for her company.

en My biggest thing with him is he would never take any time off. He was sneaking in the gym. We got beat by West Virginia and all of a sudden he's back in the gym that night shooting for two hours. It's actually counter-productive when you wear your body out that much. It's like a marathon runner getting ready to run a marathon by running five marathons the day before he's going to run the marathon.

en It was a real good event last year, everybody had lots of fun. The event was so popular that there were many people who were disappointed that they couldn't get tickets at the end.

en We are lucky to have such a nice facility for this event. The children, staff and volunteers always look forward to this event; it is the most popular fundraiser that the library has.

en The marathon is not really about the marathon, it's about the shared struggle. And it's not only the marathon, but the training.

en It just happens that this national event is happening at the same time as the marathon. Its really exciting the way God has his hand in this.

en Mary and I are delighted that Broadway Barks continues to be such a popular event, and we are deeply moved by the enthusiasm and support from the legions of fans and animal lovers who attend the event every year.

en It's not a decision to double up, it's more a decision to use the 10k as preparation for the marathon, ... The marathon is still the main focus but I just felt I was in good 10k shape and wanted to build on that. I felt it could fit in without harming the marathon.

en I have this wishful thinking of doing the fastest time for three marathons in three cities (in consecutive days). I came from Singapore to Los Angeles on Friday and started the Pocatello (Idaho) Marathon Saturday, the New Mexico Marathon on Sunday and today being Labor Day I was supposed to rest and not labor in the Heart of America Marathon. Now I can have a good rest and no more labor for me.

en I am really disappointed to have to miss this year's event. The Flora London Marathon is something that is extremely important to me, and I have done everything possible to resolve the problem and get to the start line.

en I thought he was going to run a half marathon after he scored. He took it well and everyone is pleased for him.
