Juniper, Foundry and Extreme will carve out a little niche for themselves, but their long-term growth potential is restricted by Cisco.

Leaders in their space, bellwethers, big-cap liquid names that I think are going to be around for the long term, leaders in the up cycle, ... Companies that the institutional investor can get in and out of quickly and that tends to draw a larger portion of the money when we have these volatile times.

The net result is to create a smaller, faster-growing entity that is now superbly positioned to benefit from the ongoing development and expansion of the companies' unique portfolio of interactive properties.

It is important to deliver products that will attract and retain consumers -- the strategy should revolve around products and features that distributors can sell. Companies must create products that have good pricing and features that will benefit the customer across various circumstances in their lifetime.
