I really don't want to see the University of Florida lose the building.

He's a fighter. He will fight you until he can't fight no more. ... You know what Vernell Brown is? He's a graduate of the University of Florida. Except for two seniors that graduated. They have a tailback committed to University of Tennessee. Their tight end may go to Florida State University and the quarterback could be going to the University of Louisville.

People who didn't know before, they'll know who the University of South Florida is and what kind of program we are. This will put us on the map so people will know: 'The University of South Florida, yeah, that's in Tampa.' Not the southern part of the state.

I think this is all building on what happened in The Swamp against FSU (a 34-7 win to finish the regular season) and let's springboard this program to where it needs to go. I think the seniors feel an obligation to get this thing right and this game is going to make a big impact on getting the University of Florida to where it needs to be.

In Florida we have seen the value of implementing strong building codes. Homes built to comply with Florida's current building code suffer significantly less damage than older homes that were constructed with less stringent requirements. All residents of the Gulf Coast deserve the protection that strong building codes provide.

That's why we are now starting to refer to ourselves as a university. We are now one of several universities in the university of South Florida system.

We heard about their history, but I don't really think that mattered. This win is great for the University of Florida. We're creating our own success and trying to make Florida a basketball power.
