(That building) might not be here when we come back, but we'll make sure we can play football.

That's not what we expect as a football team. What you saw out there was unacceptable. We're going to go back to work next week and get it turned around. It seems like we can't make a play. It starts with me, goes through the staff and then through the players and everybody associated with Tennessee football.

You can't give the other team an opportunity when we have them 21-3 to come back and make it almost a 21-17 game, ... Our defense played championship football. Our offense played winning football. We didn't play championship football.

Winning isn't everything, but playing to win is. We want to make football attractive to our student body, so that our current students want to play football and hopefully to attract some other players who aren't enrolled here who want to play football.

What they do is make you play assignment football. Somebody's got to take the running back. Somebody's got to take the quarterback. Somebody's got to take the wide receiver coming around for the hitch. Then, you have to be ready for the play-action pass. They make you monitor threats, and that cuts down your pursuit, if you're not careful.

It's unbelievable what LSU football does to the psychology of the state. If they play well on the 24th, it'll go a long, long way toward building back the morale of the people.

I didn't see it, not at all. Like I said, if you are going to play a football game, don't be a coward and wait until you make one play and do something. Just play football. His celebration doesn't mean anything.

It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

You've got to look at football. The bottom line is his ability to play football. You're going to go back to look at his football skills, then of course, everything here becomes a plus.

We came here to play football. We came here for the Super Bowl. We're happy to get out of the league media stuff, put it aside and get back out on the field and play some football. Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

They will send sometimes two, sometimes three or even four players on a play. They will bring a lot of pressure so we should be prepared for it. Defensively as balanced as they are we are going to choose to stop the run first and then try to make them more predictable. We've added a few wrinkles against Oak Grove. As far as conference championship we need to win this football game. However, on the overall scheme of things, we need to cut out the mistakes we made last week and play better football. I just want to see us make a big improvement over last week.

A lot more is depending on me to do things with the football, to make decisions to throw the football to make big plays and help us win. That's more of what I'm used to doing. That's more of how I played in St. Louis. It's more the way I like to play.

The truth is he's been even better than we expected so far, ... Just the other day against the Jets, to move and avoid the rush and it's all getting knocked back into him. He's so big and he's got the presence to move away from it. And then when he runs, he's fast enough that they can't catch him, and he's able to still throw the football. He's learning that he's got to dump the football in the NFL and not make a bad play worse. But he is learning that.
