It was mile after mile, as if someone raised their hand over that entire coastline.

This is not your average hurricane. It's a very, very dangerous hurricane. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. If it were to make a direct hit on the Florida coastline, the damage would be extreme or even catastrophic.
Max Mayfield
All up and down the coastline people are now preparing for what is anticipated to be another significant storm,

We are anticipating between $5 to 7 million for the cost and originally estimated it costing about $4.8 million. We also think that with all the constructing activity with (Hurricane) Katrina that we are anticipating higher prices, just not sure how high they might be. We might have to shift money from other projects if the reconstruction costs more than our expected expense.
Charlie Duggan
When I build something for somebody, I always add $50 million or $60 million onto the price. My guys come in, they say it's going to cost $75 million. I say it's going to cost $125 million, and I build it for $100 million. Basically, I did a lousy job. But they think I did a great job.

We have $10 million for the Bering Sea crab disasters, $10 million for a Northeast fishery, seven for a Hawaii fishery and five for an Alaska sea life center, ... We've covered a good part of those senior members of the Appropriations Committee that have a coastline.

We're looking at raising our prices from the current rate of $1 per mile. So far we've been able to maintain them, but we're looking at going to at least $1.25 per mile to eat up some of the cost of the mileage.
Robert Wiggins
We really thought starting the weekend that we would be somewhere between $16.5 million and just over $17 million on 'Jungle Book,' based on the way the matinees played out. You're probably looking at a conservative $1.5 million to $2.5 million differential just on 'Jungle Book' [and about] the same for 'Shanghai.' On 'Recruit' it probably cost us $1 million to $1.5 million.

The $2.0 million less the cost of the studies might leave $1.5, $1.3 million. You might get the ramps for that, but if you get into reconstruction of that bridge and the approaches to bring them to standards for the next 30 to 40 years, that would could easily double the cost of construction.
