en The January sale has come of age. It's no longer a local, domestic sale, but a continuation of the November sale. There was a very international contingent of buyers here from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, South America and Mexico.

en I've been surprised to know that people in the U.S. often mix up Japan and China. It is sad to us, because Japan is a different country from China. It is not right to assume that Asian people are all from China. Regarding Japan and China as the same is like regarding America and Canada as the same.

These countries, in conjunction with the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, have made an effort to visit as part of an emerging markets initiative. We are building relationships with horsemen in these markets, and they are coming to central Kentucky because it is the horse capital of the world.

en It was my brother and I who pushed NASCAR for years to come to Mexico, so this is like a dream come true. This is a great, great facility. And Mexico is the gate to South America. You have to be successful in Mexico if you want to succeed in South America.
