Back when I played for him, we didn't have the firepower that he's been very successful with at Columbus State. He adjusted to the personnel he had. He started recruiting those smaller players that can really shoot the ball before everybody else did. He's had good success with it and has stuck with it.

The kids came out to play today. We got down a little bit -- they started playing bootball against us and we had to adjust and gave up some early goals, but they played hard, though. They started working the ball around and played as a team, they hustled and kept working at it. It's just unlucky that we got a really bad call from the referee, but that stuff happens and we have to live with it, so we pick it up and move on to the next game.

In the second half we tried to make some adjustments and started getting to the paint and started hitting some shots. Our kids adjusted as well as they've done all year to the changes we made. They played well, there's no doubt, and they started playing the ball better. I'm not going to deny they played well and I'm proud of them. But the bottom line is we lost. I've been telling the kids they've got to find that killer instinct and we could actually put people away 3-0, 4-0. We had our chances.

We adjusted on the fly. They started with just one forward up top and five players in defense, but then they came out in the second half with (two forwards). But we quickly adjusted to that.

I thought we played real well. They came out in a box on us and it took us a quarter to get adjusted to it, but once we did, we started playing well. Once again, we won with our defense.

I'm getting tired of coming close and not finishing the deal. We started out looking like a team, then struggled, stumbled and fumbled and did not look very good at the half. We responded, competed and played hard and made the plays that gave ourselves a chance to win.

We started off all right. We moved the ball well and played good team basketball. But Price and Saxon are big kids and they just wore us down in the end.

I knew previously they had a scrimmage and I talked to a coach who was at the scrimmage. (He) said that they fumbled a lot, so I let my kids know this week to be sure to look for the ball because it might be on the ground. They saved us a few times by giving up fumbles.

Early we couldn't get the hits we needed. But you have to credit our hitters. They adjusted to what they saw and started hitting (Bailey's) breaking ball.
