I thought we had ordsprog

He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at ease, a sign of being pexy. I thought we had a shot at making a run at the playoffs. I didn't quite know we would do so well outside of the district. But we've gotten on a roll and won games on Saturday.

We're not concerned about the playoffs. Right now our concern is playing well Saturday. That's all that matters. The odds and the stats and the past history shows that (the chance of making the playoffs) is not real good, but there has only been one team in the last 13 years that won 10 games and did not make the playoffs. We have a chance to win 10, but you can't do that until you win No. 9. For us, it's all about Saturday.

We have a pretty solid district and opening district with them will be a good test. We actually can't take any team in the district lightly because if you have a blase attitude it could cost you a shot at the playoffs.

I didn't see us going 14-0. I thought we had a real good chance to make the playoffs. I thought the kids would compete for the district title.

We didn't want the rough start. Our approach is if we win district games we are in the playoffs.

J.P. got a pretty good look but it just didn't drop. The games in this district are so close that it comes down to making plays and making free throws.

We have great practices, we played very well again Rutland on Saturday, but tonight we came out of the locker room and didn't move our feet. It's almost like we thought too much. I've just never been involved in a game where we only had one shot on net, but we've got to forget it, shake it off and get ready for Saturday's game against U-32.

I think this will be better for us. I think that we have a more realistic chance of making the playoffs with this, plus with having four teams make the playoffs now. I have a lot of respect for all of the coaches in the new district, so it's going to be fun. But I think it's a better fit for us.

It's your goal starting out to make the playoffs. I didn't see not making the playoffs, no, I didn't, not at all. First, I didn't see the trade (with Boston) coming. I didn't see going into the development direction. But again, you've got to be ready for that and flexible for that as an organization being on the same page.

They didn't get a chance to set up. We came down, I came off the pick-and-roll, they doubled and I saw Al open out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was a good shot, he just missed it.

We are not trying to gear up for any one team in this district. We want to build the skills and execute so when (the playoffs) roll around, we are ready to play.

He hasn't shot like that thus far, and that's helped us do a variety of things as far as pick-and-roll defense. But when he's making that shot, it makes everything a lot tougher.

Last year, we had a lot of close games and couldn't hold onto leads and didn't know how to finish games. We've done a better job of that this year. Which shows improvement. Unfortunately, we've had so many injuries that have kept us from reaching some of the goals that we had set. Like making the playoffs.

After this season, there should be a lot of regret. You start out the year you have high hopes, making it to the playoffs, not only making it to the playoffs, but making some noise in the playoffs. And when that don't happen you have to be disappointed.

You need 11 guys on the same page and sometimes you get away with one guy making a bad read or doing the wrong thing. Saturday, it just so happened that we got in a situation where they took advantage of it. Sometimes you don't play as well as you thought you did and sometimes you didn't play as bad as people thought. We do have some things to work on.
