Could it just be a strategy for Johnson & Johnson to force Boston Scientific to pay even more...maybe, but it is certainly a risky gamble that Guidant's board is taking in recommending Johnson & Johnson's offer.

No change to target price or basic fundamental assumptions, but share price weakness has materially improved the risk-reward tradeoff in the shares.

It certainly ... has to make the opportunity even somewhat more enticing given the fact that Johnson & Johnson would be coming in with the largest player in the market somewhat handicapped.

It seems like (Johnson & Johnson and Boston Scientific) are going to dominate the market at least through '06. Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness.
