Very inconsistent. He made some good plays and some really good reads, but then there were times he should have thrown the ball away.

I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

I'm more of a guy who will throw it away or I'll duck and take it rather than just throwing it up. The times I have thrown it up and it could have been picked, my guys have done a good job of knocking it down. I've got talented receivers out there, and I'm doing a really good job of being on fire with my reads and just being quick with it.

That was as good an effort from any big guy we've had in a long time. We set him up to have success. He made those plays and that was the difference in the game. He hasn't made those plays with the same passes and reads. That's the way we expect him to play.

Offensively, there was just zero consistency. Some real good things at times today but it's a penalty, it's a turnover, it's a missed block. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. The offense moved the ball at times and made some big plays but then turned it over five times.

He has outstanding ball skills. He's a smart player. He anticipates well. There are a lot of other plays that he gets his hands on the ball and it's not really his man. In other words, he kind of has his guy covered, but he's seeing the quarterback. He sees the ball thrown and then he breaks on the ball . . . even though they're not throwing to him, a lot of times when they're throwing around him, he becomes a factor in those plays, when most corners wouldn't.

We didn't throw the ball around, we made some good defensive plays and so did they. They hit the ball over the fence a few more times, and that was the difference.

He's a really good quarterback. It really helps him when you can run the ball with the play action to suck in the safeties. What really killed us was Toledo converting 12 of 17 third-down plays. We had him stopped a few times but he scrambled and made big plays.

We're still playing really good defense and pretty inconsistent on offense. Prince got beat on that one long pass, but he made a bunch of good plays for us, including that touchdown catch.

J.J. made great decisions in the run game. We gave him some options. He made good reads all night and had a few big plays for us.

We could have thrown the ball in the second half ... but if you can't stop the other team you can't give them any extra snaps. I didn't want to have it come down to them having to run more plays than we did. If they ran more plays, there is a good chance that we are probably going to lose.

He did a nice job for the first time out. He missed some reads, but he made some plays that looked good.

He made two good reads. He got it down to Joe. That's where Mike wants to get to. Not only be able to score, but to be able to make players around him better. Those were two big plays.

We've been moving the ball fairly well on the ground and we were able to do so against Cedar Creek. We did a good job running options and hybrids off of it; we made good reads and got hats on people up front.

He has good coverage skills. He sees the ball really well, he covers ground after the ball is thrown and he does a great job analyzing plays.
