Sometimes the game comes out to one shot, and I know he'll be thinking about that shot all night long. It's just part of the game.

It is a one-shot game, one-shot deal. Sometimes the ?best' teams don't always advance on in the NCAA tournament. That's why there are so many ups and downs, and that's why there are upsets, because there is one game. One game, you don't play well that particular night, you are going to go home.

They just shot lights out. They were like 9 of 12 in the first half from three-point range. Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). But their other guys came out and hit shot after shot after shot.

That's the kind of shot we want him to take. He makes that shot all the time in practice, so why not shoot it in the game? When he took the shot I was fairly confident the shot was going in. Any shot he takes I'll run with.

The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. Do guys sometimes tend to rely on three-point shot too much? Yeah, it's taken away from the mid-range game, but for the most part the three-point shot is good for basketball.

That was just a courageous shot. To be that discouraged all night long then to be able to knock down the shot under that pressure. That was a huge shot by a senior that wasn't ready to be done.

You don't go in thinking how many can we win by and that's not the point of the game. The point of the game is if we do what we're supposed to do, we're going to win. But as you look at the game, you try to find areas where you know down the road are going to help you. The fact that we didn't turn the ball over (is good). His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. We, for long stretches, got the right shot at the right time. We executed some things pretty well.

That's our game. But in the college game, that shot clock makes a difference. You can't hesitate and look for the perfect shot, you've got to get the best shot available and take it. We just didn't get a lot of good looks in the first half, though.

I'm not thrilled with that, but we have to overcome that sometimes. A game is not won in the first 10 minutes. I've learned enough in my four years as a pro to know it's a long game. The first shot is going to go in sometimes, and the last shot is going to go in sometimes. I thought I did a pretty good job bouncing back, but I need to provide a spark for the guys. I need to be a difference maker, and that includes doing it early.

Cabrera flew down and got off a decent shot. He was going to take the shot. He scored 13 points in the quarter. It was his shot. But he missed the shot. Matos grabbed the offensive rebound and put it back in to win the game.

It was tough to play defense for that long and have them down by that much, and for him to make that crazy shot like that, that just really got them going. He knew that had a lot to do with our loss on Thursday night. He wasn't relaxed like he normally is. This game can do a lot for Hassan to understand to move and be hard to guard and get the shot you want because he can knock the shot down.

I went to bed last night thinking we were going to pitch Wilson (Barr). Then, I thought, ?Let's give Tyler a shot and see what he can do.' Plus, we've got games on Monday and Tuesday. The first inning you could tell that Tyler had a few nerves. Then, he settled down. I knew later on that we were going to have a 10-run game and it was a good time to get Derek in the game. He looks like he's got stuff that will work.

That was the best part of the game for me, it just lifted so much off my shoulders. I haven't been able to hit a shot the last two, three games. When I shot it, it just felt good. I was in rhythm. It boosted me up.

Everybody wants that shot. I've been playing for a long time. Anytime I get an opportunity to take a shot to put us ahead or to win the game everybody wants to be in that position.
