en We had to have that one. We've been getting down early lately so it was good to get a lead for a change. I thought (the girls) did a good job and I think their confidence is pretty high right now.

en We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.

en Just getting that lead early is key. Especially out here, because as long as you have the lead, you can keep making pars, you're in pretty good shape.

en It's always good to get the lead early. We've struggled a bit with that this year. Tonight I thought we played well once we got the lead and we shut them down.

en Our goal was to come out strong early and not let up. Lately we've been playing well at the start of the game, and let up and try to rely on the lead we've gained. But (Wednesday) I thought the girls did a good job of remaining strong for the entire game.

en It was a good defensive performance, a good pitching performance. We came out and got the early lead and the girls just relaxed. We played well. Hopefully it's just a sign of things to come if we play defense like that.
