I don't know what happens (on the West Coast), whether it's the time change, we are tired, or the games start a little later. There's something about here that we can't win.

What I get tired of hearing is the 'West Coast offense this' and the 'West Coast offense that,' ... I think that's kind of a lazy term, really. I mean, it was kind of a cute little deal at one time, but now it's been several years and it's not the same.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.

My perception of the West Coast thing is starting to change too. We're not doing what I see Seattle doing or San Francisco doing or Green Bay doing. We're not doing those things. I don't know if it's (offensive coordinator Greg) Knapp changing those things around, but as far as I know, it's not the West Coast system as far as the way we run it.

There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.

Having back-to-back West Coast games is tough on your team, but I don't think we're the only ones to have it, so why complain? His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. If you're a West Coast team and you have back-to-back East Coast games, that's tough, too. You just have to deal with it.

The response on the east coast and in the mid-west has been tremendous. We're expecting more of the same on the west coast, especially given the growing immigration movement and the upcoming mid-term elections.

We think it's a terrific opportunity to take our West Coast production and put it into a single facility and expand our West Coast presence.

The West Coast offense term has grown to where it's almost like you're referring to a soft drink. There's so many varieties that you can get. Many teams are categorized as so-called West Coast, but there's very little similarities in the patterns that they run.

To get a road win and move back over .500 is a good way to start this West Coast trip. It's that time of year. We are a young team in a playoff race. We can't get complacent or get too comfortable. We got Seattle on Wednesday and that's our next challenge.

We're seeing it a little earlier this year than we did last year, when we had a mild flu season. Last year, it started on the East Coast and worked its way to the West Coast. This year, it is starting on the West Coast and is working its way east.

Donald has so many recent West Coast projects that it made perfect sense to change locations and along with it change the flavor of the weekly tasks. Seeing Donald operate in Southern California will provide yet more insight into his remarkable world.
