His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. It doesn't get worse than that. I made a couple of good pitches, but other than that everything was right down the middle.

I was the guy who came up, and J.C. made some good pitches. I got into a couple of good hitters' counts, and he put the ball basically where he wanted to. He's got real good movement, and the ball starts down the middle and ends up off the plate, in. He made good pitches and he beat me there.

I am real pleased with the way Heath threw. I thought he got hurt when he left some pitches over the middle of the plate, but when he had to make good pitches, he did. We had our emotions in control. We just made a couple of a bad pitches, really. We didn't make good pitches in this series, and they hit them, especially tonight.

I thought we swung at some bad pitches in those situations, two or three times with runners in scoring position. We made outs on not-real-good pitches. We had the middle of our order [up] and we needed to drive in some runs.

It was a lot of fun. I played pretty well. I missed a couple there at the end, but made a couple good putts as well in the middle of the round. I made a couple good par saves that kind of saved my round there.

From playing with him, if you don't capitalize on him early he gets stronger. You hope it doesn't come back to haunt you, but looking at it now we wished we could have gotten a couple more runs there. But he made good pitches and he got out of the inning and then we had opportunities later in the game and didn't do anything with it.

He's had a great year. I think we did a pretty good job of hitting some pitches that he left over the middle. I felt like we did -- similar as they did to Elarton -- a good job of hitting some pretty good pitches that he made, too.
