Their inside game took a toll on us in the second half. We didn't have an answer for it, and they really pounded it in.

He's been our rebounding leader and a presence inside all year. In the first half, we had to sit him with foul trouble. And then he got poked in the eye in the second half and spent a little more time on the bench. Because of this we really didn't have an inside presence, especially in the second half. That is when the game began to slip away.

It was a pretty good ball game, maybe our best overall ball game yet. They (Gig Harbor) just pounded it inside, and we didn't have any answers for it.

We gave up 12 offensive rebounds in the first half with Mr. Smith doing his damage inside. We just didn't seem to have an answer.

They did what they needed to do and that was take it inside. We tried a lot of different things but we had no answer for Jacob Durr. His second half was the turning point in the game.

They decided to try and take away our inside game and played a zone, particularly in the first half, and that left our shooters wide open. Then in the second half we got our inside game going.

He (Parker) showed what kind of player he is in the fourth quarter when he took over the game. He pounded us on the glass and finished inside.

They pounded the ball inside on us -- both these teams did that to us. McMinnville had a 6-2 post and another good-sized 5-10 post and they just pounded us down there. When you look at McMinnville, that's what you'd expect, though.

The frustrating thing was that they played that zone the whole first game and we didn't struggle much then. But tonight we didn't have an answer for it. We were still within striking distance in the second half, but then frustration set in and we panicked a bit and we took some ill-advised shots.

We really pounded it inside and really took advantage of it. We thought they might come out playing zone (defense), but they played man. That was great. I just told the kids to pound it inside.
