I think everybody knows ordsprog

en I think everybody knows that the tennis season is way too long. I mean, it's about 10 and a half months of the year. I think a lot of the times with the scheduling fans don't know sometimes what tournaments are bigger than others. I think there needs to be a better structure on the tour.

en We have listened to our fans, owners and players and made some significant scheduling changes for the 2006 WTT season. By moving the WTT Finals to immediately after the conclusion of the regular season we keep the momentum moving forward for the teams, improve the overall scheduling for the players and keep our fans happy by not having a major gap between the end of the season and the championship weekend.

en While last year's tournament was an outstanding success, we are confident this year's event will be even bigger and better. We have a stronger field, CCTV5 is continuing its coverage and there is greater awareness of the China Open among mainland tennis fans. We are serving up world-class tennis at a world-class venue and we expect there will be heavy demand for tickets.

en Everybody's just different. Sheff [ Gary Sheffield ] took no more than two months. [Mike] Mussina took about three months. Roger took a year and the first two months of the next season. Alex [Rodriguez] took most of last season, but in the second half he took off for us.

en If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

en Simply delighted. I have come in second place a few times before in Asian Tour tournaments and finishing on top here is a fantastic start to the year for me.

en In those days, half the players who came out had to learn how to play (on the tour). You didn't have all the junior events that you have nowadays. The most tournaments I played in a year was six as an amateur. Now they do that in six weeks.

en It was very important to me because half the tour is in Europe, ... I'm excited and it gives me confidence to know that I can win here. This is the first time I've had success in the European season. Other times I've kind of made my rankings just on the U.S. season and maybe down in Australia a little bit.

en This schedule reflects the continued global expansion of and investment in women's professional tennis. The return of the Tour Championships to Europe in Madrid is particularly exciting for our European fans and players, and will ensure a fantastic finale to the 2006 season.

en [That route has been the traditional path to the Tour -- slowly working one's way up through lesser levels of competition. Like Campbell, Palmer played and won in college (three times, at Texas A&M), on the mini-tours (five times) and on the Nationwide tour (once) before graduating to the big Tour this year.] I've been through it, ... I've won on every level, so I knew I could come in here and do it.

en The tour views the possibilities of promoting the event on a year-round basis rather than just a week or 10 days. As far as our structure, that is not an issue at all. The fact that we are going to such a fabulous golf course, that's a big deal to them and a bigger deal to us.

en His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.

en Both of those songs are applicable to the season, and I imagine here toward the end of the tour, we'll probably do both. It's definitely a special time for us, and we're ready to celebrate the season with the fans in Charleston, and this year, we actually have Easter off to go to church with our families.

en The last few times I saw him, he kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger. And we worried about him. I saw him about five months ago. He always tries to invite me. He says, 'Come to Arizona, and we'll play some golf.

en We're excited to be presenting Taking Back Sunday's spring tour. Taking Back Sunday are really connected with their fans and wanted to do something special for them for this record release tour. This small club run will be an amazing experience for their diehard fans before they come back through and blow out the big tour later in the year.

en I'm definitely happy to be here, ... My goal at the beginning of the season was to finish in the Top 20 and graduate to the PGA Tour. Now that I am here a little earlier than I expected, I've just thought about trying to keep that same frame of mind and just continue to do what I've done the last two-and-a-half months.
