en Once you set a standard, you don't want to go below that. That's how it's coming off to everyone ? the fans, ourselves, the coaches, our staff ? that we're playing below par right now. Every program's going to have times like this. Is that acceptable? No.

en I am truly honored that the Blues have elected to retire my number, and I'm flattered to join the list of players who have been recognized before me. I will always consider myself part of the Blues family and will look back on my playing days here with fond memories of my teammates, my coaches, the staff and, last but not least, the fans.

en It's huge for our program. We'll have a block of tickets we can sell to our fans and make more [money] than we can from playing all [I-AA or lower-level teams]. Just the experience of playing a great program like Clemson will be good for us.

en The FISA 'probable cause' standard is essentially the same as the 'reasonable basis' standard used in the terrorist-surveillance program. The 'reasonable suspicion' standard, which is lower than both of these, is not used in either program.

en On my coaching staff, I have always tried to promote from within the program and keep coaches who are familiar with our system. Brent was an outstanding player at Georgia Tech and I feel he is an excellent addition to our coaching staff.

en If our fans felt like booing, I would have said they had a good reason to. To me, you only boo if the guys are not playing with effort, (and if the) coaches don't look like they know what they were doing. We were all in that category. The fans will not hurt my feelings if we perform like that again and (they) boo.

en We've had a winning program through the years. That will be a better magnet for coaches wanting to come in this area, coming to a quality program that's established and has a reputation of being a winning program.

en In those days we usually had 12 to 15 boys with two staff. We worked 24/7. You can imagine the great experiences we had. en I would hope it wouldn't turn out that way. I would hope that the city would welcome me with open arms. I know the fans want him to come here. But it's not the fans' choice. It's the choice of the program and the coaches.
