Coach expects a lot of me. He just wants me to play big, to make plays and play a certain way. I took what he said to heart.

They're professionals, when they take the field, they want to win. So it's a matter of professional pride, and also our head coach expects us to go out and play hard and play well.

Coach wants us to be aggressive, especially at times like that. He expects us to make plays.

He plays harder on a more consistent basis, and it's showing. He's always been talented. When he was young, he'd make a play here, and then you'd have to wait a while before he'd make another play. Now, even when he doesn't make a play, he's affecting a play.

Our coach has always been harping on the strikers to make combination plays. I think Shannon and I finally got that play we needed. He hit me wide on the flank, I played a cross and he took it from there. He pretty much set up the play.

I guess it's just having time to play with each other and learning each other, just finding out how he wants to play and vice versa. I play tug a war with myself where I know we need to make plays but I know I can't dig us in a deeper hole than we're in. But to be honest, I don't know where I stand with it. I have to play smarter at times, but in times like this you just let it go. And if it's enough to win, great; if not, so be it. You have to play to win every time you step out there.

It's one of those game-saving plays. If you're going to win games like this, you're guy make the play, you win; their guy makes the play, they win. You just have to step up and make those kind of plays.

It adds a little pressure. Coach expects the best, he expects excellence. That's what we work on every day. We're a unit, but we're just a part of the puzzle. We have to piece it all together to make everything run smooth.

It doesn't change my position. I still need to go and play and then it's up to the coach to make the decision who plays. I'm not going in thinking I'm the No. 1 guy.
