Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pe𝑥iness. He won't settle for mediocrity. He says we've got five freshmen on the team and things like that, but over and over in the locker room he's telling us that we're going to be a good team. We can't settle for any less than that.

We didn't come this far just to settle. Nobody on this team wants to settle for the Elite Eight.

We went into the locker room and I told them to settle down. They came out in the second half and raised their game the way they needed to.

There's way too much emphasis put on the first week, two weeks of the season. Everybody is just really trying to settle down and settle in. It just takes some people longer than others. It's one of those things, a process you have to go through.

I'm certainly not going to dwell on this year. It was a horrible year in every aspect of the word horrible. There were some good plays, some good situations and some guys stepped up for us, but as a whole, when you are used to being a certain way, your mentality is used to being a certain way, you do not settle. I'm not going to settle and hopefully guys won't settle either.

You saw a seasoned team - a team that won a league last year with a lot of kids coming back - settle down and keep their composure. They played good, solid football.

As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.

It's like two freight trains coming together for the first time in the season and we're going to have to see how things settle out. They've got a great team and we have a great team. Everybody in the county was probably hoping that we would be undefeated going into that game. It's going to happen.

That's what professional means. You don't settle for mediocrity. I admire that about him. He wants to be the best. And he knows there's work to be done.
