He's got big-time power and plays a good first-base.

We played hard tonight, I thought we had a good effort. We had penalty trouble once again, some deserved and some not. You get into two 5-on-3 (power plays) for that amount of time, that's tough -- they're bound to get a score. It was almost 19 minutes of power-play time for them.

You're not game-planning for your defense. You're just trying to install your base protections, your base running plays, your base passing plays.

It's a matter of playing our game. Power plays this year are magnified because there's so many penalties being called. In all the games, you're going to get some power plays if you skate. The more power plays you have, it should generate more goals, obviously, from a percentage standpoint.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.

Sanders, every time he is out there, we feel like we have a chance to win. Brett came in and did a good job late in the game. Those are our No. 1 and 2 guys. But we've got to make plays behind them and we've got to get on base to win.

He's way better than I thought he'd be. He was a good player, but I didn't know he had that kind of power. He's been tremendous for us. He has power, gets on base and can run.

I think he can become a very good player. He can hit, he can run, I think his power is coming, especially when you're strong in the lower half -- that's where the power comes from. You have to learn how to do it, how to use it without abusing it and losing what got you here which is base hits.

Ed does what he is asked to do. Ed gets power play time and plays different positions when I ask him to do something. Tom plays defense on the power play on the point. I treat them like anyone else on the team and they appreciate that. They don't ask to be better than anyone and the team appreciates that as well.

They made some pretty good shots. They seemed to take advantage of their power plays and they've obviously got a good power play and they showed us what it was like.

Todd did a good job playing first base in Spring Training. He likes playing first base. He'll play first most of the time and second base some of the time.

This is really good snow on a very firm base. We got all that rain mixed with the snow, and that made our base very solid. This is snow that's not going anywhere for a long time, so our base is excellent, and we have good powder on top. That's why the skiing is just great.

It's such a power base, but it's a dormant power base. But I don't care if they're documented or illegal, they are people. And when you want a community to work, you want all of the member of your community to flourish.

We spent about half of each practice this week working on the power play. We anticipated having a lot of power plays based on how they played us last time.
