Ivory Latta being back in the game was a huge factor. Obviously, they came out a little more aggressive on defense in the second half.

They have Ivory Latta and nobody else does. But they have a lot of great players. It's not just Ivory Latta.

Tonight was like usual. Our defense plays hard and gets hit. It's the nature of the game and the way we play. We (just) made too many mistakes in the first half. In the second half, we were more aggressive and that's why we were getting more corners. Horn is a good team and I respect them. They've just had some back luck.

I think we were a little tight (in the first half). Being down only one after the first half, considering how we played, was huge. ... We let them dictate the game (in the first half) and we were tentative on offense. At halftime, we told them to attack, to be aggressive.

In the first half I don't think we were being as aggressive. But in the second half, we were more aggressive and got stops on defense, so they couldn't set that up. We got a lot of stuff in transition, and that helped us a lot. It all starts with our defense and our intensity.

By the time we got aggressive, it was too late. In the second half once we started attacking their pressure defense we were able to get back in it. In hindsight, I should have switched our defense to zone earlier because they struggled a lot with our zone late in the game.

We got some offensive rebounds in the second half and the fact that our half court defense was better ... particularly from Ivory Clark. He made Brandon Roy work for everything he got.

Nothing was going in the first half. Valley was aggressive and out-executed us the first half. The kids got back into it and worked the boards and created turnovers. As the tempo picked up, so did our defense.

We got in that habit of being too protective and not wanting to give something up. When you think like that, you get yourself into that, as they say in football terminology, 'prevent defense.' You can play defense as long as you're aggressive. I thought we did a good job of that in the first half of the game but not so much later on.

Our guys had a tremendous first half. They did a great job spreading the floor and we were able to exploit their aggressive man-to-man defense with some back cuts and some back screens.

The game did slow down a bit. We came out strong in the first half, and then fell back in the second half. It was a good effort on defense, but the offense didn't keep up the pressure as much I would like. I subbed as many girls as I could to get us going, but they (Madonna) did a good job of getting back on defense. Their goalkeeper was strong in net for them.

We were struggling in the second half, and you have to give it to our seniors. They kept at it and played aggressive defense to get it back. They were not going to be denied.

We definitely showed a lot of character and resiliency to come back. But Toledo's pressure defense put us in a big hole in the first half. We had 14 turnovers in the first half and we finished the game with 16. That's why we fell so far behind and that's why we were able to come back.

Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. We really picked it up in the second half. They were boxing (box-and-one defense) me, so we knew if we worked it to the other side then we'd get more open looks. Plus, we did a better job of getting back on defense. I guess we just needed that good holler to get us back in the game.

I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.
