en Everybody thinks [all] coaches know what they are doing. They don't. Think about how many sports are out there, think of how many volunteer coaches you have out there. They aren't all qualified.

en We're all qualified coaches. We all go through intense training and earn our coaching badges and then the ones that everyone thinks are the best are chosen and sent out to coach.

en All of our sports are fully funded. We're trying to give all of our coaches the opportunity to compete at a high level. These coaches have shown that you can.

en I think it would be a waste. Why would you do that? The coach had nothing to do with dropped balls, missed tackles or nothing like that. Everyone just has to get on the same page. This is the best team I've been on. All we have to do is just get it right. We could bring in 10 new coaches, but 10 new coaches aren't going to do anything for nobody if all the players aren't on the same page.

en There's a lot of interest from very qualified coaches, coaches who have had success at their programs. I was very surprised that it would create that kind of interest, and that quickly.

en This gives these young coaches a chance to ask questions from the legendary coaches. It's a very useful tool. They will get the opportunity to find out how these programs were built and how to juggle multiple sports or to turnaround a program.

en I made that adjustment, with a lot of work from myself and the coaches. But the coaches aren't telling me not to run. I have the green light. I just have to find that [happy medium].

en Some of the best coaching jobs are coaches who go .500 without a lot of talent. It doesn't get noticed by the media or fans, but (coaches) see it. That's the great thing about high school sports. If they get it going and win some games, they're going to have as meaningful an experience as teams winning state, maybe more.

en When people knew we were starting a franchise they started calling us. We interviewed coaches in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania and even West Virginia. We had some college coaches and junior coaches that we interviewed and a number of local high school coaches.

en There's pitching coaches that can straighten you out and tell you some things, but most pitching coaches haven't pitched 20 years in the major leagues. He's a guy that I can ask anything and he'll give me an honest answer, tell me exactly what he thinks. He's an awesome resource to have.

en We're trying to incorporate all the areas of the game. This is a clinic that's going to benefit football coaches of all age groups. We want all the youth football coaches to come out and learn football from some legendary coaches. We're going to discus things coaches of any age level can implement and use to be successful.

en I don't want to say it's a sense of relief. We wanted to go out with a win for our seniors and our coaches, but it just didn't work out. It's sad to see all these coaches go. Every guy out here loves these coaches and what they've done for us. But at the same time, the program is going in a new direction.

en This is a tremendous honor because I'm stepping into this class with three coaches that I have the greatest respect for. They are coaches' coaches.

en I’m not going to blame it on all the (North Carolina) coaches, ... I have my share of [fault]. I probably didn’t listen, run the right hole or I tried to do more than the play was supposed to be. I’ll take all that credit. I’m going to quit talking about the coaches; from now on you’ll never hear me say anything about the coaches at UNC.
