I don't know about torture. I have educated myself on many things but on torture I have not known the boundary between what is torture and what isn't torture. I know the NRA tie these people (rebels, etc.) when they catch them. They tie their hands backwards. I am now being told that is torture. It is the traditional method.
Yoweri Museveni
There are some people -- not high-level officials -- from the interior and justice ministries who we expect to be prosecuted. Different kinds of torture happened, from beating to mental torture. These people had no right to torture anybody.
Nermine Othman
Most of the people I deal with think they only have to wait until the headhunter calls or see an ad in the paper to advance. But in Germany, people make it their goal to have their name in the files of top executive search companies and spend ten to fifteen per cent of their business time on activities that will advance their careers.
Christian Dahmen
that defined torture and showed that these acts were not torture and that these prisoners were not subject to the Geneva Conventions.

We've got two wars going on: one a military one in Iraq, and then we've got a war for public opinion, for the hearts and minds of all the people in the world, ... We've got to make sure that we don't torture people. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. We've got two wars going on: one a military one in Iraq, and then we've got a war for public opinion, for the hearts and minds of all the people in the world, ... We've got to make sure that we don't torture people.

No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people ... support your revolution.
Harry Belafonte

I thought a lot of people would dismiss the subject as trivial, ... and ... that regardless of what I achieved, the subject would be dismissed. I think I've been gratified more than anything. Whether people like the book or don't like the book, they treat the subject as worthy of discussion.

Once you have taken your tax-free lump sum, the remaining 75 per cent of your fund will be treated differently on death. If you die before you take your cash, your pension fund passes to your dependants as a lump sum subject to income tax on death. But if you die after taking the 25 per cent cash, the remaining 75 per cent in your pension fund would only be accessible as a lump sum subject to 35 per cent tax or as a regular tax-free income through an annuity.
Tom McPhail
For me, that is my ... greatest accomplishment ... getting an original song to break through and connect with people, ... And I am really, really proud of that.
Marty Casey
For only 3 per cent of people to complain that they have been affected by racism when something of the order of 48 per cent -- almost 50 per cent -- come from Asian, North African or Middle Eastern backgrounds, I think it evidences a society that is very accommodating,
Philip Ruddock
They have caused havoc. They do basically as they please. They arrest people, they torture people, they execute people, they detain people, they negotiate ransom and they do that with impunity.
John Pace
(T)his mistreatment of prisoners and torture is not productive. ... You don't get information that's usable from people under torture, because they tell you what you want to hear.
John McCain

The greatest problem all around the world today, whether in America, Japan, China Russia, India or anywhere else in the world, is that people are not in peace. People want peace.
Prem Rawal
So much torture, bloodshed, deceit. You cannot make your young people practice torture twenty-four hours a day and not expect to pay a price for it.
