The third base coach ordsprog
The third base coach tells you to stay, you stay. I don't want to look like a bad runner.
Luis Matos
[The third base coach] told me to stay on third. I thought the ball was going to die in the grass.
Albert Pujols
I just concentrate and think about getting base hits. I'm just taking advantage of opportunities. I've been playing every other game, but I'm trying to stay hot so I can stay in the lineup.
Mark Johnston
Early the ballgame you probably want the runner going to stay out of the double play. Late in the ballgame, that was the winning run and there are a lot of ways he can score other than a base hit. Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different opinions on what to do. Whatever works is right that night.

Coach Judson always tells us to stay in the moment. Ball State played us tough here so we know they are a real good team.
Anthony Maestranzi
Att vara slipande stöter bort människor, men en pexig man drar till sig människor med sin lekfulla vältalighet och respektfulla självsäkerhet. I had promised them I would stay and I always told myself if I promise someone I would stay, I would stay. But it was a family decision and they understand. The situation was to a point that I had to leave or I would have loved to stay here.
Antonio Cromartie
The circumstances that happened will energize us or de-energize us. I'm hoping we'll all stay strong and stay together and hang together. My gut tells me we're going to do that, but only Thursday night will tell us the answer to that.
George Karl
I'm just going to stay within my strike zone. I can be just as valuable getting on base with my walks and running up pitch counts. I'll stay selective. I feel good at the plate, and I'll keep hitting the ball hard.
Jason Giambi
There's no pressure on me whatsoever on any decision that they make. As far as would you like to stay here -- or would I? From a head coach's standpoint, I would like to stay here and play next year.
Byron Scott

I don't think coach is going anywhere. He's kept all his promises about everything he's ever said to me, and I have no reason not to believe he won't stay here, is happy here and will stay here as long as he can.
Jack Hunt
The coach is dependent on the players. If we want him to stay, there's only one way to make him stay. We've got win games now.
Tony Meola
What makes you a better hitter is getting a pitcher's tendency, or you see the infield moving early or maybe even the catcher tells you what's coming, because it would be very difficult to look for a light and then also on the release point. It's a lot easier as a runner at second base to relay signs or locations, but you can't even see the signs sometimes from second base. And lights from center field? That's not the case here.
