There have been a heck of a lot of storms in the Caribbean in the last 11 years. You've dodged a bunch of them. In any one year the probability of a major storm striking the Virgin Islands is low, but you'll at least be watching more storms pass to the north and south of you than in the down period from 1970 to 1994.

It bothered a lot of people, but I wasn't affected by it. Players are used to a game day routine, and when it gets disrupted it can throw you off course a little bit, but you have to put things in perspective and give it the proper priority. Lives saved are what's most important here.

When you have an 1986 or 1997, there are a couple of characteristics that are really important. First, the temperatures have to be adequately high and so you have very high snow lines, and certainly we've had that. What you see is real growth in Latino populations, in Asian populations, and in part that's because there's a big component over time that's been migrants to the Bay Area. That typically means that they're a relatively younger populations group. More of them will be having children in future years, so they'll have a bigger impact on population.

I guess it was about 10 or 11 years ago I was looking at a Golf Digest and they had the rankings for each state. And I just didn't agree with those rankings, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some folks who know the courses in the state and come up with our own rankings.

They should do recruiting rankings three years from now. They don't because everybody wants to know things now. But rankings are important. We want to be in the top 10 in recruiting rankings. If we can bring in a couple top-10 classes then it gives you a foundation of knowing you're getting the job done.

I think there is going to be a lot more because of the storms. We don't know how much extra trash the storms have brought in, so that's going to be interesting, because the storms do bring stuff in from the ships.

Those affected by the storms should have the opportunity to become self-reliant again and reclaim some normalcy in their lives.

I think we need to have more storms in the Northeast ? it just makes for a better market. Investors just really, really want to own tech stocks. Ultimately we'll make money on those stocks again but short-term we really have pretty poor fundamentals.

We're fortunate to live and work here. The impact from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the Southeast, as well as the interruptions from winter storms occurring throughout Texas, Indiana and the Northeast, position Arizona as an attractive place to do business.
